Information available to the media includes brochures, backgrounders, and biographies of Ensemble members. House programmes, annual reports, member newsletters, media releases and full media kits are also available upon request.

production Footage

Broadcast-quality footage of some of The Shaw Festival’s 2009 productions will be available prior to the Opening performances.

production & ENSEMBLE IMAGES - FTP Site

Our digital image bank features 300 dpi photographs of Ensemble members and 2009 productions, as they become available. The site also features photographs of our theatres, Bernard Shaw, and the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Photo captions and credits are provided on the site.

On the Home page of our FTP site, instructions are provided for downloading images on both a PC and a Macintosh. On a Mac, we recommend using Internet Explorer rather than Safari. Contact us if you have any difficulties with downloading or if you require additional images.

Interviews

Interviews with Shaw Festival administrative and creative staff can be conducted in person, at The Shaw,  in studio, or over the phone. We also have an active DSBN line available for live radio broadcasts from The Shaw.

Working on a travel story? In conjunction with Ontario Tourism, the Canadian Tourism Commission, the Niagara-on-the-Lake Chamber of Commerce and other partners, we can help plan your trip.

Mailing List

The Public Relations Office distributes media releases and other information primarily by e-mail. Our season Handbook is sent by regular post. Contact us to ensure we have both your email and postal addresses.

Photo Shoots

Photo shoots of Ensemble members can be arranged for those media outlets that prefer to supply their own images.

Special Event Access

Is The Shaw holding an event you’d like to cover? Contact us for media credentials.

Theatre tickets

Please refer to our Handbook or click here for a complete schedule of performances. Please note that dates closely following opening nights have the best availability and that preview performances are not available for reviewing. Tickets are for media only and are non-transferable. As the season progresses, the availability of media tickets is often reduced.

Please send a copy of all published articles, particularly if you are working for an alternative or international media outlet, to the Public Relations Office to facilitate media tickets for the next season.

Tours

Tours of any of The Shaw’s facilities are available with advance notice.
