Saint Joan is Bernard Shaw’s greatest play. At its centre is the most remarkable teenage girl in history. But who is she? The divinely-inspired saviour of France? A dangerously clever charlatan? Or a pathetically deluded country girl? It all depends on your point of view. Whatever she is, eventually Joan is bound to become an embarrassment to the male-dominated world she has turned upside-down. And then what?
The Shaw honours our co-founder Calvin Rand by dedicating Tim Carroll’s 2017 production of Bernard Shaw’s iconic play Saint Joan to Mr Rand’s memory.
This production of Saint Joan is performed without amplification meaning the performers are not miked. Should you wish for an amplified sound, we recommend an assistive listening device. Quantities are limited so we recommend reserving early. There is no charge, but a voluntary donation at pick up is appreciated.
