Business Members provide crucial support to The Shaw. As a charitable not-for-profit organization, The Shaw is dependent upon contributions to help fill the gap between ticket sale revenue and the cost of staging a season that attracts 260,000 people to the region.

2012 Member Events

  • Wednesdays with Shaw*

    Business Members attending a matinee performance at the Festival Theatre are invited to a post-show chat with members of the cast and the creative team.
    Every Wednesday, starting in June

  • Costumes and Props Warehouse Tours*
    Business Members ($1,500+). Take a weird and wonderful warehouse tour with our experts in Props and Wardrobe.
    July 21, August 11, October 20
  • Members Dress Rehearsal*
    Business Members ($1,500+). Attend a dress rehearsal of His Girl Friday. A wonderful opportunity to see the play before it begins public performances.
    June 9
  • Directors Project*
    Business Members ($5,000+). A showcase of two one-act plays selected and directed by our 2012 Intern Directors in the Studio Theatre. Book early – seating is limited!

    MEMBERSHIP SERIES – NEW FOR 2012

    $25/person per session. Book a performance on the same day: Red or Gold seating $70; Platinum seating $85. All sessions start at 10am or 11am.

  • The Half Hour
    Actors are required at the theatre half an hour before curtain. Meet the team that helps them get ready and watch the actors transform into their stage character.

  • The Best Job at The Shaw
    Bet you’re intrigued. Come and meet the Shaw people who claim to have ‘the best job at The Shaw’.
    June 9 or October 19
  • An Actors Life for Me
    Did you know that The Shaw provides continuous training for its actors? Take a mini-class with one of our Academy’s world-renowned Voice, Movement, Singing, or Scene Study coaches.
    May 6 or July 21
  • The Changeover
    Hours before the curtain goes up at the Festival Theatre, the stage is abuzz with activity. Come meet the crew responsible for ‘the changeover’. It will change your understanding of the inner workings of repertory theatre.
