Returning to The Shaw for her eleventh season, Catherine is delighted to be appearing in Misalliance. She appeared last season as Lady Chavendor in Bernard Shaw’s On the Rocks.
Some of Catherine’s favourite credits for The Shaw include The Doctor’s Dilemma, An Ideal Husband, Louka in Arms and The Man, Mrs Montgomery in The Heiress, Martha in The Constant Wife, Audrey Trowbridge in Three Men on a Horse, Alice Sycamore in You Can’t Take It With You and Therese in S.S. Tenacity.
Elsewhere, Catherine has appeared onstage at Theatre Aquarius in Strawberries in January and Ropes End; The City Playhouse as Amanda in Private Lives; Huron Country Playhouse in Over the River and Through the Woods, as well as the Arbour Festival, Lighthouse Festival, Skylight Theatre, River Run Centre, Ford Centre for the Performing Arts, City Playhouse, Toronto Fringe Festival, Rhubarb Festival and Equity Showcase, among others.
Catherine appeared as the bewildered bride in The Bridal Path (Canadian Film Centre/Toronto International Film Festival/Bravo). Her film and television credits also include a number of independent films as well as appearances on Murdoch Mysteries, Forever Knight, Tekwar, and a range of bill-paying mom and daughter commercials. Before joining The Shaw in 1997, Catherine was recognized for her years of service as a deafblind intervenor.
And last but certainly not least, Catherine’s most exciting and important role to date has been that of Mommy to Elijah James, who she welcomed into the world with husband and fellow company member Jim Mezon. Their days are filled with diapers, dancing and drool, and they couldn’t be happier about their newest, most joyful and most challenging scene partner ever!
