Jeremy Carver-James

Jeremy makes his Shaw Festival debut appearing in Ragtime and His Girl Friday.
Selected theatre credits include Chip Tolentino in The 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee for Processed Theatre, Jeff in [Title of Show] for New Wave Festival, Robert Martin in The Drowsy Chaperone at Hudson Music Club, and Berger in Hair at McGill’s Arts Undergraduate Theatre Society. Additional opera credits include Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro at Halifax at Summer Opera Workshop, The Vicar in Albert Herring, Perichaud in La Rondine for Opera McGill, Il Notaio in Gianni Schicchi, and Luther in Les Contes Hoffmann for Janiec Opera Company.
Mr Carver-James has been a soloist for a number of contemporary music ensembles, including the Afro-centric choir Nathaniel Dett Chorale. In the summer of 2011, he was a guest-soloist for the Elvis A-Z concerts with Gregory Charles for the Festival Mondial Choral in Montreal. He has also been featured as a gospel performer for the Italian tour of the Club Vocal du Collège Vocal de Laval, the Church of St Andrew and St Paul, the Alberta Honor Choir, and Festival 500 in Newfoundland.
Born in Calgary, Alberta, Jeremy received his training from McGill University’s Schulich School of Music in Voice Performance. He is thrilled to be joining the Shaw’s acting ensemble!
