Kate Lynch

Kate Lynch returns to The Shaw this season as director for French Without Tears. She made her directorial debut at The Shaw in 2009 with the lunchtime performance of Noël Coward’s rare gem, Star Chamber (part of the Tonight at 8:30 series). Kate participated in The Shaw’s Director’s Project during the 2007 season, and has assisted on a number of productions at The Shaw since.

Kate has also taught acting at the University College Drama Program in Toronto and at the Stratford Festival, Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and George Brown College, among others. Her stage credits include roles in productions of Smudge, Road to Hell, The Breakdown, and many more including Tales of the Blonde Assassin, which she also wrote. Her stage directing credits include Cymbeline, Pericles and Waiting for Godot for the University College Drama Program. Kate won a 1980 Genie Award for her role as Roxanne in Meatballs. She was nominated for a Genie for her work in 1987′s Taking Care.
