Kelly Wong

Mr Kelly Wong returns for his fourth season at the Shaw Festival appearing as Houdini in Ragtime and His Girl Friday. Last season Kelly appeared as Thomas in The Admirable Crichton and in the musical My Fair Lady.

Selected theatre credits include Serious Money, One Touch of Venus, Sunday in the Park with George, Star Chamber (Shaw Festival); Maria Severa (Shaw Festival Reading Series); nobody told me (Berkeley Street Theatre); Little Shop of Horrors (Stage West Mississauga/Calgary); Seussical the Musical (Silvermist Productions); Miss Saigon (Drayton Entertainment); The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Vertigo Mystery Theatre); as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Much Ado About Nothing and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) (Shakespeare in the Park Calgary); West Side Story, She Loves Me, As You Like It, Hello Again (Theatre Sheridan).

Born and raised in Calgary, Kelly now calls Toronto home. In addition to being an actor, he has enjoyed work as a fight director, puppeteer, theatre instructor, nightclub DJ and as a web designer (visit his website at www.dotwong.com ).

He is a proud graduate of Sheridan Institute’s Music Theatre program and Mount Royal College’s Theatre Arts program.
