Nichola Lawrence

Nichola is happy to be making her Shaw Festival debut this season, appearing in Ragtime and Trouble in Tahiti.
Her musical theatre credits include the recent production of Suessical at Young People’s Theatre in Toronto; and Drayton Entertainment’s production of Hairspray, where she appeared as Motormouth Maybelle.
Deeply rooted in the Toronto pop music scene, Nichola has been singing for more than 20 years and has graced the stage with some of Canada’s premiere talents. Respectively, she has sung back-up vocals for songstresses Jully Black, Ivana Santilli and Devine Brown. She has also performed in venues across Europe and the United States.
Nichola is working toward her Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre Performance at Sheridan College.
“Thank you Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Dad, and the boys. River, I love you beyond earthly words my darling. To my MM’s, your love has carried me. Marie, Michael Greg A., Claire and Carol, thank you.”
