Personal Statement: It is hard to resist The Shaw – this is my second time on the board, after a three-year hiatus. I have always loved the theatre, but what Shaw offers is the best kind of theatre. Besides being creative, its plays are always thoughtful and thought provoking. I also have great respect for the organization and its values. Its selfless and thoughtful leadership, and the dedication and talent of the staff and company are second to none. I therefore feel fortunate to be involved and to have a voice at the table, especially during this time of change when we are presented with so many challenges, where Shaw can play an active role to entertain, to comfort, to stimulate and to lead.
