Over the next few weeks we’ll be introducing this year’s RBC Emerging Artists, a program dedicated to the artistic development of young ensemble members. Our first featured artist is Kevin McLachlan (aka Koovy).
It’s Koovy’s second season at The Shaw and we asked him a few questions so you can get to know him.
Q What’s been your biggest lesson at the Shaw Festival so far?
A What really makes a company is not its product but its people.
Q What is your dream role?
A Cosmo in Singin’ in the Rain
Q What Company member were you most excited to work with?
A Kate Hennig. She is as kind as she is talented and I learn from her every time she opens her mouth. She inspires me.
Q What goals have you set for yourself in your career?
A I’d quite like to join the circus one day.
