Duty of Care
During your visit to the theatre, your well-being is top of mind. To that effect the Shaw Festival is committed to the following health and safety measures:
Capacity/Masks

Masks are no longer required in our theatres. Wearing a mask is optional but recommended, though the choice remains at the discretion of the individual, as their own comfort and concern dictate.

Risk: Attendees understand and agree that there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present. The Shaw works closely with public health experts to ensure all necessary and reasonable precautions are being met to reduce chances of exposure, but we ask you to please take what precautions you deem necessary to protect yourself and others and avoid attending any performance if you are presenting any symptoms.

The Shaw Festival has been awarded a Safe travels stamp, which is recognized globally for adopting proper, standardized health and hygiene protocols.

We require – for the safety of other patrons and our artists – that patrons who are unwell stay home and contact the Box Office to reschedule their visit to The Shaw. Please rest assured that the Shaw Festival also has the safety and well-being of its staff and artists at heart and has protocols in place to ensure this.

Kindly ensure we have a valid email address for you on file so that we may communicate with you quickly and efficiently. This includes our pre-show email sent to you prior to your visit which may contain additional useful and important information.
