Personal Statement: Having first fallen in love with The Shaw when I was a child attending plays with my parents, my deeper engagement with the organization began when my family moved to Niagara-on-the-Lake in 2014 when I was in the process of founding The Exchange Brewery. I gained a fulsome appreciation for what a vital role The Shaw plays in the community, providing access to world class cultural performances in our own backyard, creating diverse employment opportunities, and attracting a plethora of visitors to the region. I am proud to support such an outstanding arts organization that is not only a critical institution in the Canadian arts and culture landscape, but also is so integral to the vibrancy of our local community.
