Volunteers - Shaw Festival Theatre

Volunteers

The Shaw Guild is an organization of more than 350 individuals who share a common belief in the power of theatre to create real human connections. As an all-volunteer group, the Volunteers donate significant  hours each year to support the Shaw Festival. Their varied interests and skills provide the expertise and enthusiasm required for almost any project. They are true advocates  for the Shaw Festival.

Guild Volunteers participate in a variety of  interesting Shaw Festival activities from hosting and greeting patrons, gardening, fundraising, and being involved in a variety of education and engagement activities. Volunteers are asked to donate a minimum number of hours each season to support the Shaw.  They are also invited to exclusive behind-the-scenes events.

Fundraising events, including the annual Shaw Guild Garden Tour enable the Guild to donate financially  to the Shaw Festival. The donations have supported production of A Christmas Carol for several seasons, as well as other Shaw Outdoor productions. They also support Shaw Education programs, the Embedded Artists program and other Shaw initiatives.

The Shaw Festival appreciates and recognizes the Guild for its valuable support.
